Big Play, Plus and minus button for Live purpose. as a drummer, I am responsible for the metronome, and sometimes it would help to have a larger button to start and stop the metronome
Totally agree with this. My only use case for the Pulse and the Soundbrenner app is live performances. I mount my phone to my kick drum and having larger start/stop/adjust buttons would be so helpful. In general it seems the focus is on practice, which is great - but the only reason we practice is to perform live.
We are working on a landscape mode for phones. Once you put your phone sideways a lot of the controls disappear, then we use that space to make everything bigger, and you can only play/pause snd switch songs in a setlist. Would this meet what you would consider a live gig mode?
While that is better - It looks to me like we lose the ability to dial in a tempo when in landscape mode. So no - I would not use that for my live gigs. Please correct me if I am wrong... landscape mode appears to assume you setup a setlist and setting up any practical setlist requires a $60/year subscription which is more than I am willing to pay for just having a setlist. I realize you get more for your $60 but I will only ever use the expanded setlist. What I would want is the visual tempo at the top ( which could be a single visual because I know the time signature and where 1 is), a dial to dial in a tempo quickly and a big start/stop button. Thank you for responding and asking for feedback. I appreciate that very much.
Hi Pat, yes exactly, that's what I assumed when designing the gig mode interface. I am surprised you manually dial in the various tempos during a live gig, but I guess it's definitely possible and a way to save the subscription fee. I can't promise we'll have a way to input BPM in this interface but I will try! It is also sad you are permanently locked out of the library feature because of the subscription. Just a note, sometimes we are on discount and you can get it for $40 USD per year. I hope at some point we added so many new features/value to it that it's worth it. Or perhaps we could consider looking into purchasing extra slots in the library for a small one-time fee or something like that - but this I also can't promise, just a spontanous idea. There are so many things to do and improve!
