Would be great to be able to disable the controls from the core unit just as it is possible with the pulse units because otherwise, sometimes the wheels on the core units twists while I play or the faceplate touchs the skin (because of the position I have it on my upper arm against the forearm when I play the drums) and then the tempo changes in the middle or stops altogether. I'm sure that's a simple fix to sort of "lock" the unit just like with the pulse so it can only be changed from the app in the smartphone and thus be more reliable.
Changed the title from "Locking the controls on the core unit" to "Core: Interaction lock for controls like for Pulse"
I agree and fell this need to be addressed quickly please
For me the triple tap sometimes gets activated when I wear a hoodie and the sleeve covers the core which then changes the frequency of the metronome unintentionally.
The reason why we didn't add an interaction lock to Core (yet) is because in order to give inputs, you need to specifically open the metronome app first. Inside the metronome app, you need to then "select" what you want to change by pressing the bottom button first. So in our own experience we didn't experience any accidental inputs. Are you saying that when the metronome is running while wearing a hoodie (? not sure how the form of clothing is related - where yo dou wear the Core?) somehow the device recognizes three accidental taps? It seems unlikely? We could consider adding an interaction lock just for double tap/triple tap as they don't require pressing the bottom button first and hence could happen accidentally (although they do require multiple successive interactions and are hence also unlikely?)
