Get real

So you force me to land on this inane "Home" tab instead of the metronome tab every time I open the app - unless I take out a subscription. I want a metronome, none of this fake community social networking crap. Do you really think this sort of annoy tactics will persuade me to pay 50 quid a year? I was seriously considering buying your wrist strap, but no. Not if this is how you go about it.

Anyone who purchases a wearable can choose the starting screen for free. The logic is that the Home section contains advertising, so if you have not purchased a device and are also not subscribed, you are using our app completely for free. So far we have avoided placing any ads in metronome to create a pristine experience there, so at the very least a free user should look at ads once when opening the app. Personally as a user I would prefer to look at ads onc when I open the app, rather than having them constantly visible while I practice in the metronome. Somehow we need to monetize the app to be able to buy things like rent and food - as you would expect our engineers and designers don't want to work for free!
