Use the lights on the Soundbrenner Core as a mini torchlight. When switch on this new feature, white light is lighting up without blinking (and of course, withouT vibration). It can be used as SOS signal light if flashing red light is turned on.
Changed the title from "Mini torchlight / SOS signal light" to "Core: Mini torchlight / SOS signal light"
We have actually prototyped this idea and experimented in dark environments, and unfortunately the light power of the LEDs is not big enough to see anything, so we discarded the idea of building a "Flashlight app"
The idea is to have some light in a total dark situation. Anyway, thanks for your efforts. You guys did a great job 😀💪
I think you should add that option even if the light is not that strong
We will prototype this this year, and potentially release it later in a firmware update :)
Florian, thanks. I have one other suggestion, a Find my Phone feature.

Merged "Core: Add a lamp / flashlight app" #364
A One application for which I often reach to my phone is as a pocket lamp.. It seems to me relatively simple and super useful to implement an always on light mode from within the watch. It might not be a very strong light, but definitely a life saver in those moment when you can’t find your phone in the dark or it ran out of battery.. Artofthegroove 10 months ago 1 Hi! I have tried it before and unfortunately it was really useless because the LEDs and screen simply don’t get bright enough. But I will make another test Florian Simmendinger 10 months ago A Hi Florian, Thank you for the swift reply :) When you are in complete darkness it is very useful. I actually sometimes make a very fast tempo on the metronome and use the fast flashes to look for things.. But the fast flashes are very unpleasant and the constant vibration is disturbing. I just wish to have a constant light on. Artofthegroove 10 months ago 1 Wow that is surprising. OK thanks for sharing this. We will give it another test. Actually as far as I know the LEDs are currently set to 50% brightness to preserve battery life, so we could go even higher for a flash light function Florian Simmendinger 10 months ago 2 A Oh wow that’s great news, at 100% constant light it will be way more useful.. Maybe even make the text screen to be full of characters or even white to increase the brightness even more ? Of course, if you test it not in full darkeness, it might be useless. But that’s when having this thing on ne your wrist at all times makes sense. Artofthegroove 10 months ago 1 And make it so you can scroll to change the brightness A Name 10 months ago 2 Yes I have asked our developers already to prototype it with all the screen pixels turned on at max brightness as well to see if it has a positive effect. It could be interesting to use the dial as well to increase or decrease the brightness Florian Simmendinger 10 months ago 2 A Oh great idea for the brightness! Artofthegroove 10 months ago 1 Yes! I emailed about this a while ago! I often use my watch (core steel 1) at night or to avoid cables when sneaking around backstage. I cope with the current brightness but the duration is too short for easy use. A triple tap Home Screen for 1 min torch would be great for me, even if it’s only all the screen leds at 50% brightness! Thomas Evans a month ago 1 ? Hello! Any news about this? Anonymous 6 days ago Hi, not yet, we have worked on a bunch of other features that had more upvotes that we just released. Our engineers might get around to prototyping this soon! Florian Simmendinger 4 days ago
