Default instrument

If I only have one instrument in the app, don't make me pick the instrument after every session!!!! Obviously that's the one I want and if it's not I'll go back and change it....

Hey, I would consider this a bug as it is specified to remember the instrument. Can you please share your specific use-case, e.g. are you using Android or iOS, or Core for practice tracking? Can you reproduce that the instrument is forgotten after you save a practice session or does it only happen sometimes? Is it after the app is closed or even during the same app session? I've also asked our team to start an investigation and find out which cases we might have missed here. Thanks for your help!

Changed the status to "Archived"

Not working for me. When filling in the details of my practice on IOS, the Instrument is always Unknown. Piano is the only instrument I have "registered " but it defaults to Unknown instead of Piano

I am using iOS 26.2.1, and start practice sessions automatically by starting the core steel metronome. The Piano is the only instrument I have setup in the app. Here is a screen shot of my last session. Notice the Instrument is "Unknown "

Ah I see so you are saying for automatic sessions used with the wearable. Got it. I think we were debating this because we were worried that it is quite easy to make the wrong one when its automatic, and it is better to always set it to unknown... but maybe we could add a condition that if there's only 1 instrument saved, it should always pick that one for automatic sessions. I'll see if we can work on this.
