Hi The only reason I'm not purchasing the Core right now is because there is no ability to adjust the tuners frequency eg. A= 440hz. I have my guitar tuned to A= 444hz as I can sing along to what I'm playing better and find that my instrument resonates and feels better in this range.
Changed the title from "Tuner Frequency Adjustment" to "Core: Customize Tuner frequency (from 440 hz to something else, e.g. 444hz)"
Yes, we already have a UI designed for that but so far we didn't prioritze this in development. I hope this gets a lot of upvotes so we can make this happen soon!
As soon as this is the case I'll definitely be purchasing one 👍 Thanks for your reply Florian 😊🙏
Sadly, I oso wanna change 440hz to 442hz
Merged "Tuner configuration" #58
I am in the field of Early Music. And I often use 415hz and 430hz. It would be great with multipule temperament, but I wouldn't say..
Merged "Core/App: add more hz from 440 to 415 or 392 (and others) withh other adjustments for temperament like just/pure/valotti/others" #93
From another thread: I think for people who do accoustic music this would be helpful for the growing amount of people in early music or interested in different tunings to make the app/core more functional since this would compete with paid apps which offer the tuning for historically-inclined pitches. Paid apps like tunable do it, but they don’t do wearables so this would take a bit more of this market here.
You're using my words! I appreciate it.
I find on a violin that 415 and 392 really give nice pitches espeically on chamber music where it's so rich.
Great idea.
Is it implemented yet? I've been waiting 2 years for this feature.
Hi Charles, unfortunately not yet, but it is on our roadmap
Wow it feels like one of the most fundamental or dare I say "core" concepts of music is tuning.. hope this changes soon!
This is fundamental for music making. In many orchestras and ensembles in the world, A 440Hz is not the reference pitch. And from a technical point of view, to make this customizable shouldn't be challenging, unless it's somehow embeded in the hardware of the device, which would be a big design fault.
Glad to hear you are working on this.
Merged "Favor de cambiar configuración de afinación" #232
Hello i just want to upgrade this post, i tune all my instrument in 432HZ and if you make this upgrade i will buy a soundbrenner ! Please make this a priority, it's not very complexe to do it <3
Ideally you'd let us decide for ourselves via the app and push the new frequencies to our device. I'm building an adjustable fretboard microtonal guitar to explore and experiment not only with different tuning Hz but I'm exploring microtonal Just Intonation as well as TET to see what's what... I love the cent feature on the Core and it's a very accurate tuner I've noticed but it would be great to let us do what we want with it, especially if that can be pushed onto other devices within a band like the metronome does. =) This then allows your device to be used for Indian and Turkish and other microtonal or non-western standard 12-TET things which I think is the best way to approach things for numerous reasons that are self evident. So long as you include a few shortcuts whilst you're at it (I wouldn't mind a King Gizzard setting tbh as that'll be one of my first experiments with my double sided Busuyi self looping HyVibe microtonal onemanband guitar) 😅
Hello everyone, I'm excited to announce the Hz change will come to Core within this year! We have developed it for Core 2 (currently available on kickstarter! kickstarter.soundbrenner.com) and decided to ship this update for free to all Core 1 owners as well. Within the tuning app you'll be able to see 440 Hz and select it with the bottom button, and then use the dial to change it to other values. I expect the update to live at the end of Q3 when we are shipping Core 2 :) Cheers,
Yeeeesss Thanks Florian!
This feature is now available on Core 1 and Core 2 available on www.soundbrenner.com! :) Marking this feature suggestion as done! For Core 1, you just need to download the latest firmware update to unlock Hz adjustment inside the tuner app. Cheers!
Changed the status to "Completed"
Yessss!!! Can't wait to install that update. Thanks
