Preferably half or a quarter of the strength of the current weakest pulse
Hi Frank, you found the vibration settings and already chose the weakest option, right? And did you then make sure that you use the accent you assigned the vibration to while using the metronome in the player, to actually utilize the weaker vibration? I'm asking because in my opinion the weakest vibration is already quite weak and hard to use as a vibrating metronome function. I wonder if you have another use case in mind or why do you need such a weak vibration? Thanks for clarifying. Technically it would be probably possible to make an even weaker vibration available. Cheers
Hi Florian, I made sure to use the right vibration (shortest and weakest vibration) and (medium length for the start of a bar). I actually found the vibration quite strong, and i hung the metronome very loosely (and half dangling) by my ankle with some thick clothing. I do agree vibration itself is not very strong and i do not really feel it if I tap the beat with my leg. But if I keep my ankles still, the vibration does come off as really powerful. If possible I would like to have a weaker vibrator so I could at least tie it on my ankle properly. Thanks, Frank
Changed the title from "Core: add weaker pulses" to "Core: add weaker vibration option"
Hey Frank, OK all clear then. Thanks for clarifying. I'm surprised you perceive the weakest vibration as still uncomfortable when the device is worn tight! I'm curious if more people feel this way and we'll keep an eye out for the upvote count on this suggestion, and also explore how we could enable a weaker vibration in the future :) Thanks for the suggestion. Cheers,
Thank you very much for considering my suggestion. Could it not be simply be added with the current hardware/firmware or would i need to buy a newer version of softbrenner if you guys decide to add weaker pulses.
Hi Frank, it would require an app update for iOS & Android from us, as well as a new firmware update for your Core. But new hardware would not be required! :) Cheers
Merged "More adjustable pulse intensity" #362
I second Frank in this request. I am a New Age ambient musician and also offer sound baths. I perform in front of a live audience is an intimate venues. The vibration pulse, even on its lowest and quickest settings (with zero volume) will still be way too audible and noticeable by an audience in a relaxed and meditative type of space. This would surely take people out of the zone. Florian do you or anyone else from the team have insights as to when an update may be available with a lower and more fine control over the intensity of the Pulse? If not soon, I gotta send back the two products I just purchased. Thank you.
Hello, good news, we actually decided to rebuild the vibration settings and in the process I managed to add weaker vibration options than what are currently available. This is how it will look like. I anticipate they would have launched within the next 6 weeks. (The Pulse and Core will have the same settings). Also in case anyone is wondering, the Core polycarbonate is our least loud device. Then comes Core Steel. And probably loudest is the Pulse because it is the first product we ever made, so we didn't pay enough attention to it yet.
Hi Florian, I just purchased the Pulse (December 2025) and I too would prefer a quieter option. My watch's haptics are currently set for 1 bar (lowest intensity) along with the shortest duration. Maybe instead of 3 bars (intensity levels) you could add a 4th bar that would be 1/2 or 2/3rds of your current lowest setting. I appreciate Soundbrenner being receptive to users' suggestions on features.
Hey, did you not see my latest post? If you go the settings of the device you can actually assign different vibrations to each accent markers, some of which are extremely low strength already :)
