I am a drummer and I have song notes for each song in a separate app list, so would be great if you could add a "notes" section to your app's songs lists. Also it would be helpful if I could adjust the BPM via the Pulse from the song list tab when I have a song pulled up, where I could use the Pulse to adjust the BPM and it would update the saved BPM setup for the song.
Changed the title from "Add Notes and Song BPM Adjustment" to "App: Add Notes and Song BPM Adjustment"
Hey Cardo, this is already planned. Would you find it necessary to add a UI element to the Player where you can see the Notes of the current song, or is it fine to view the Notes only witihn the Library? Regarding the BPM changes, you can update them by tapping on the "Temp" badge that appears when you changed the BPM of a song loaded in the Player. It may only work on iOS unfortunately
Changed the title from "App: Add Notes and Song BPM Adjustment" to "App: Add Notes to Songs in Library"
Hi Florian, I would like to see my song text notations (not actual music notes) within the current song when I click on that song in the Library, which now opens it for Edit. The Player functionality is fine as-is. I was able to change the BPM in the Player mode using the Pulse by loading the song from the Library into to player and changing the tempo on the Pulse dial or on the app dial. I discovered, that after I changed the tempo, I needed to tap the BPM app dial to see the "Temp" badge.. This does work on my Android OS 12 phone. Thank you, Cardo
OK thank you... all clear then
I have actually already a design for this - it's not so trivial to build though because it needs to be done across iOS & Android, and integrated with our cloud sync server too https://www.dropbox.com/s/g3eoh6eq4e6zvp2/screen_shot_2022-03-17_at_15.57.42.png?dl=0
Yes, exactly what I am looking for. I only ask if you can make the area larger to reduce scrolling. I keep my Notes short, so if you can show 4-5 lines, that would be great. One last thought, please keep the font size consistant with the rest of the info displayed ( not smaller in the Notes section). Thanks again, Cardo
Hi Cardo, no worries the Notes area would expand vertically as you enter more text so there is no sideways scrolling needed. The field becomes as big as the notes you enter and aut-adjusts in size. Regarding the font size, it is the same as the rest of the UI with 18pt/18px.
Perfect! Is this something that is scheduled to rollout? Thank you so much for your support! Cardo
Hey Cardo, like I said it's quite a bit of work due to the cloud library integration. We haven't started developing it yet so realistically it will take a while until it's launched but be assured it's on the todo:)
Cool... Looking forward to it my friend 👍 Cardo
Merged "Notes Section" #170
I really like this idea, would be good to easily view the notes for a song from within a set list...so you can easily see them during a gig. Maybe that is what you are planning, thanks for your development of the app!
I am patiently waiting for this enhancement.. Thank you for your support!
Merged "App: Add notes field or allow more characters in song name." #191
So I downloaded the newest version and where I used to put my song notations was in the Song Name. The new app version now has a limited space for 25 characters, so my notations are now cut-off. The new version does not support the new Notes section we discussed. With the new limitation of the Song Name length, the app is no good to me. Can I get the previous version back? Thank you
Hi Cardo, sorry to hear that. Unfortunately going back won't really be possible so you'll have to wait until we are able to ship the song notes separately. Sorry to hear our upgrade was a step back for you...
Any progress on creating a "notes" section so that I can put some notes in for each song? Ex. 4 clicks start Intro = big toms V1 = Hi hat w/bass on quarter notes C = Big drums, ride V2 = Bass drum on quarter notes only C = SAA Bridge = Toms w/build C = Big drums End = Only piano and vocals ------------------------------------------ Something like this would be very helpful as I am a worship drummer and play many of the same songs over again, but not enough that I remember them all without some reminders.
Hi, thanks for the feedback, unfortunately no progress yet but your comment definitely re-affirmed the value of adding this feature :)
Still waiting patiently for this feature would be awesome thank you!
So much yes, and love, to this. Together with bigger fonts in playback-mode? Unbeatable ;-) Gard
Hi Gard, do you mean bigger fonts for the setlist display in the "Load" mode under Metronome?
Hi. Yes I think that's what I mean. When you load a setlist in 'Metronome' I think the song title is a bit small. I'm playing with 6 different bands and sometimes it takes a little bit of focus to always remember the order of the songs. :-D
Changed the status to "In Progress"
Merged "Add visible notes under the set list songs for gigs" #640
Merged "Individual Song/set list notes" #817
"Notes section that comes up with the set list and also a notes section for each individual song that key things such as pauses, number of bars, etc, anything that’s needed to be written down and even photos in this song section to allow photos like sheet music or files such as computer notes and such to be attached to these songs/setlists"
Merged "metronome that indicates which is chorus, refrain, etc" #827
"i think it would be nice if metronome can indicate which part in the song your actually playing. for example after 8 bars there will be indication that next is refrain on the 9th bar, so on and so on"
