I would like that there would be a landscape orientation on a dedicated iPad The Metronome App.
I have been requesting this feature for a while … hope this will be implemented soon as I am using the app with other apps that run in landscape mode so it will be easier for me with the way which I use it. Thank you!
By the way, we have completed designs for landscape mode on phone and iPad. On phone the idea is the UI elements will get much bigger (e.g. accent markers, BPM number, next song, etc.) but in exchange we have to remove the buttons to make changes on the fly. So you can kind of set things up, then put the phone sideways to get a bigger UI while you actually play.
On iPad, the screen is big enough to do it all at once of course.
Here are some screenshots. Just a headsup, this is still going to take a while to develop.
I look forward to seeing it in the app!
Looking really good
Finally ! Thank you so much!
Will the new version also support iPad multitasking? I’d like to be able to quickly slide the metrome over forScore in order to adjust the tempo without having to switch apps. I find that forScore takes a few seconds to wake up when switching back and forth.
(I believe one of the previous obstacles to implementing multitasking was that the app has to support all orientations. )
Interesting. I’ve not been able to use my Pulse due to lack of landscape mode since I got it two years ago. Wonder if this going to take another two years to finally make it into the app. I’m not holding my breath.
Looking forward to the landscape mode; I will use the app a lot more when it’s introduced. I really like the jog-wheel for adjusting tempo but having everything sideways is a bit farcial. (I’m swapping between the metronome and guitar tab apps which are best viewed in landscape.)
Looking forward to landscape mode on iPad. Love you Soundbrenner. I love everything about this app.
